Peter Dunphy

Peter Dunphy brings over 25 years of experience in film finance and investment, spanning SEIS and EIS — the UK's tax-efficient schemes for early-stage and growth investment — as well as private equity and debt finance for feature film production.

He has produced sixteen feature films, including Mad to Be Normal (starring David Tennant), Funny Cow (starring Maxine Peake), Surviving Christmas (starring Edward Fox and Gemma Whelan) and Two Graves (starring David Hayman).

A regular speaker on film finance at the Raindance and New Renaissance film festivals, Peter has spent his career explaining how UK film finance actually works to producers and investors on both sides of the table.

Alongside his production work, he is an elected Councillor of the City of London and a former Chairman of its Licensing Committee.

Peter joins Moringa Studios from Moringa Productions, our sister company, bringing his finance and investment expertise directly into the hub — working alongside our in-house tax rebate and EIS specialists on productions that need it.
